Harold G. Hottes

	Harold G. Hottes, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:30 P.M., Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
	Harold was a retired wheel operator for the Freeman #11 coal mine.  He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin.  He was a member of the Du Quoin American Legion and UMW of A.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
	He was born June 29, 1914 at Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Jacob and Ida (Jung) Hottes.
	He married Verna A. Hahn on August 5, 1939 at Du Quoin, IL and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter - Phyllis Schneider of Du Quoin, two sons - Larry Hottes and wife Gloria and Dennis Hottes and wife Becky, all of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter - Peggy Jean Hottes, two brothers - Walter and Louis Hottes and one son-in-law - Tom Schneider.
	Funeral services were at 1 P.M., Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Dr. John Lewis officiating.
	Friends called from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
	Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville, IL.
	Friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
